base皋兰位于上海黄浦区皋兰路18号，base皋兰的建筑面积1854平方米，共5层，楼层层高3米。base皋兰路采用简约但不简单的现代设计风格，功能的全面性，布局的合理性，使客户体验创意的办公氛围以及舒适的办公环境。

base 皋兰路｜base GAOLAN

皋兰路是上海原法租界内一条浪漫的小马路，旧名为“高乃依路”，取自法国诗人Corneille之名。项目原为皋兰路上的虞洽卿旧居，然其建筑原貌早已不复存在。结合周边环境与历史氛围等综合因素，base决定将其改造成一个全新的办公空间。

Gaolan Road in Shanghai’s former French Concession was once named Corneille Road, after the famous French poet. base GAOLAN itself was once the home of YuQiaqing, the president of the Shanghai General Chamber of Commerce, though the building’s original appearance had been replaced with design elements unsympathetic to the surrounding historic buildings. base decided to regenerate the building into a new work space that integrated the history of the structure with its surroundings. 

现在，皋兰路18号是一座独栋花园洋房办公空间。改造后于2011年成功引进了BMW宝马互联驾驶中国研究院和宝马集团 DesignworksUSA 上海工作室。

Gaolan Park was home to a well-known Chinese entrepreneur, is the office of BMW Internet Driving Research Institute China and BMW DesignworksUSA Shanghai studio.

删繁就简的设计改造，一改先前的局促，空间变得简洁且高效。为了满足BMW的办公需求，bass团队将一楼改成了前台区域及会议室，二楼、三楼用作研发中心，四楼是 DesignworksUSA 上海工作室，而视野宽阔的五楼则成了餐厅和屋顶花园。

The renovation kept the original structure of the building, and adapted the space into functional office sections. In addition to the working, the rooftop is dedicated to the kitchen and a spacious open-air lounge area.

位于左侧的副楼原来建筑质量不佳，base决定将其全部重建，并且将整个办公楼的核心功能设施——楼梯、电梯等归入此侧。而整栋办公楼前亦怀抱一方庭院，为枯燥的办公生活增添了一抹绿意。

The building’s southwest section was a poor-quality addition from the 1960’s, so base decided to transform this area completely, programming the space with all of the building’s core functions including the staircase, elevator, as well as an area of grass to add greenery to office life.
